Saleesa James Chapter Seven
"Moura," Kilene says. "you may go start now."
So we all follow Moura, who takes us into the compound's building. This one is large, yet I have never really noticed it before. She takes us to the middle where we sit down in a circle, small enough to hear each other, large enough to not touch each other, but just barely.
"So, who wants to go first?"
"Doing what?" I ask.
"Well" She smiles widely at me. "Since you asked you can go first to be the example. Here in Amity, we adore peace and believe it is the reason war strikes;when people do not know how to keep the peace."
It sounds right.
"So in order to keep peace, you must know the people you

When I wake up, I'm one of the first. Sofie is sitting at the foot of my bed, staring at me. Waiting for me to wake up, I imagine.
"You know, you could have just woken me up." I say, my voice still sluggish from sleep.
"I'm sorry, you just looked so peaceful."
I smile, and she does too. She doesn't wear her blue clothing though, she traded it for a red tight shirt and a short yellow skirt stopping mid-thigh. I have clothes sitting next to my bed.
"I wasn't sure what you'd like." She tells me. "So I just got one of everything, and you could save the rest."

“So you climbed the Ferris wheel, huh?” I say, tripping across the car to reach Tris. I sit next to her, and Marlene sits next to me.

“Pretty smart of you,” Marlene says. “Like…Erudite smart. I’m Marlene.”
“Tris.” She says, fighting a smile.
“Yeah, I know who you are. The first tends to stick in your head.”
I take out one of the paintballs from gun, desperate to enter the conversation with Marlene. I squeeze it between my fingers, and the train lurc

Tobias’s POV
Why would she do this? It would easy on me-well easier-if I accidently hit Al, but hitting her? With an airborne knife? No, I can’t.
“If you flinch, Al takes your place. Understand?”
She nods.
I keep my eyes on hers as I throw the knife, trying not to flinch myself. It hits the board with a thud. She closes her eyes.
“You about done, Stiff?” I ask.
She shakes her head. “No.”
“Eyes open then.” I almost choke on the words as I tap the spot between my eyebrows. I should be making this easier on her, not harder. But no, I should make it harder, so that way she’l

I chose Amity. I chose Amity. I might never see Abby again, and start a whole new life of peace.
I chose Amity.
All the transfers and Amity-Born initiates alike get up and calmly walk to the elevators. I see girls in groups of three or two, and boys in packs. I am the only one standing alone. I see them all laughing, and somewhere inside me, I find a smile. I chose amity. I am no longer Candor, bound by the truth, I am Amity, bound by peace. By the time we reach the elevators, I am bursting with energy. But not Dauntless energy. A different kind of energy.
Amity energy.
We have to take the elevators separately in order to get everyone down,
